Our Downtown Services Team was established by the City of Concord to preserve the investments of the Concord Main Street Project that was completed in the fall of 2016. Duties include maintaining hardscapes, street sweeping, irrigation systems, planters, trash receptacles, and snow removal on sidewalks and hardscapes in the Main Street Project area. The Downtown Services Team works 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily, including weekends, with the exception of holidays. This schedule provides coverage for routine tasks and responsibilities of custodial services in the parking garages and maintenance of the public squares (previously maintained by our Public Properties Division). Snow removal in the parking garages and in the squares will still be completed by a contractor. This effort provides better service to the downtown area to keep areas safe, clean, and beautiful for the community to enjoy.
