Meet Abbot and Downing, the library's new eBikes used to pull our "Word on the Street" bookmobiles to community events and outdoor locations in your City.
The bikes are ridden by your friendly library staff members and are used to deliver books and materials, educational activities, community information, and library programming to locations outside the library. Abbot and Downing are "coaching Concord" as they bring important community resources to all areas of the City!
Please tell us about your experience if you visited one of the bookmobiles, or let us know wh
ere you hope to see one in the future.
This project
was made possible by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (www.imls.gov) and the NH State Library.
NEW FOR 2025 - MEET OUR BIKE MASCOTS!
When you see the bookmobiles at special events, our local parks, and in our public spaces, ask us about our new 2025 bike mascots. Their names are Paige Turner, the Karner Blue Butterfly; and Reed Moore, the Red-Spotted Newt. We would love to discuss our summer mascots with you and give you a special mascot sticker while supplies last.
