City offices will be closed on Monday, May 29 due to the Memorial Day holiday. Please join us in honoring and remembering all those who served in our armed forces and paid the ultimate sacrifice.
The Concord Transfer Station will also be closed on Monday. Trash, recycling, and bagged leaf collection for Monday will be postponed to Tuesday. Collection will be delayed by one day through the remainder of the week.
PENACOOK PARADE - MAY 28
The Penacook Village Association is proud to honor all who have served our country with a Memorial Day Parade. Starting at noon on Sunday, May 28, the parade will step off from Merrimack Valley High School and go north on Village Street to the Penacook square (Boudreau Square). A moment of reflection will be at the monument with the placing of a wreath. The parade will then continue to Washington Street School.
Please note that Village Street, from Washington Street to the Washington Street School, will be closed from 9 a.m. until noon.
CONCORD PARADE - MAY 29
The Concord Veterans Council is holding a parade on Monday, May 29 at 9 a.m. Join them and honor those that gave all. They will have a parade and ceremony to follow on the state house plaza.
Please note the following street closures from 9-10 a.m.:
- Thorndike Street, from South State Street to South Main Street;
- South Main Street, from Perley Street to Pleasant Street;
- Main Street, from Pleasant Street to Centre Street;
- Park Street, between Main Street and North State Street;
- North State Street, between Park Street and Capital Street; and
- Capital Street, between North State Street and Main Street.
