Contractors for Unitil will be conducting tree work on River Road and Carter Hill Road beginning on Monday, May 20. River Road will be closed to through traffic between Borough Road and Bog Road; access will be provided for local traffic, including to local businesses such as Murray Farm Greenhouse. Local traffic accessing homes and businesses on River Road should expect delays. Through traffic will be detoured around River Road. The road closure will be in place for weekdays only during working hours. The road will be open to traffic evenings/nights, on weekends and during the Memorial Day holiday. Work is expected to continue for approximately two weeks, beginning on River Road and continuing south onto Carter Hill Road to West Parish Road.
