The Planning Board is responsible for the review and approval of Subdivision, Site Plan, Design Review, and Conditional Use Permit applications based on compliance with the Zoning Ordinance and the Subdivision and Site Plan Regulations.
The Planning Board is also responsible for adopting and amending the City’s master plan, City park master plans, and other land use plans that guide the economic and physical growth of the City and improve livability. The Planning Board actively engages the public through workshops, public hearings, and educational outreach to ensure that all residents have the opportunity to be involved in shaping the future of Concord.
The Planning Division provides technical assistance and guidance to the Planning Board on development applications, as well as on updates to the Public Capital Facilities Impact Fee Ordinance, and amendments to the Subdivision and Site Plan Regulations.
The Planning Division works directly with citizens, consultants, and other City staff on the review and approval of subdivision, site plan, design review, and conditional use permit applications. We provide professional advice, technical expertise, and practical alternatives to ensure compliance with City regulations while encouraging innovative design solutions and positive change.
The Planning Division also encourages applicants to take advantage of Development Assistance meetings, which provide an opportunity to sit down with City staff from multiple departments prior to filing an application.
