It is important to preserve the City of Concord's water source, Penacook Lake. Water conservation measures can be taken to help limit water consumption. The City of Concord saves water with help from the City's Water Conservation Technician by conducting leak detection surveys, performing water audits, and partnering with the EPA's WaterSense Program.

Water Conservation Tips
Did you know that less than 1% of all the water on Earth is available for human consumption? The average American uses over 80 gallons of water a day and clean drinking water is becoming a vanishing resource. Conserving water can help maintain our water sources. Penacook Lake is Concord's water source; help conserve it for future generations by limiting your water use.
