FALL LEAF PICKUP

Leafblower working.jpg (49274 bytes)Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons in Concord, and this year is no exception!   The City's General Services Department will begin the Annual Fall Leaf Pickup.  The crews will begin during the week of  November 14, 2011.  The crews will continue as long as weather permits

One crew will be starting at the Bow town line on South Street and will work their way North. The second crew will be starting on Elm St. in Penacook and work south and the third crew will start on Manchester St. and work north on the east side of the river.

Place your leaves un-bagged at the curbside and the crews will pick them up.  Please, leaves only.  Do not put any branches or debris with the leaves as we will not be able to pick  them up.

A map is now located on our website http://www.concordnh.gov/website/LeafCollectionServer.  You may follow the trucks through town and plan your yard cleanup accordingly.  This map will updated only through the previous work day.

Acceptable Materials: Materials that will be collected include leaves, grass, hedge trimmings, weeds, fruit tree droppings, mulch and garden plant waste.  Brush, branches and limbs must measure 3 inches or less in diameter, be cut to 3 feet or less in length and be bundled.

Unacceptable Materials: Sand, dirt, rocks, bricks and root balls.  Concrete blocks or other masonry items. Anything plastic or metal (including wire).  Painted, stained or pressure treated woods.  Plywood.  Kitty litter or animal waste.
