General Property Tax Information.  The property tax in New Hampshire is the major source of revenue for local government. In Concord, your property tax pays for Concord municipal services, County of Merrimack services, and the Merrimack Valley and Concord School District services, and a state-wide property tax. The City municipal government bills and collects taxes for all these entities even though the City Council only sets the tax rate for the municipal portion of the bill.
