We Are Here for You @ Your Digital Library

We miss seeing community members in person...but we are still here for you!

Library staff members are available by Email, by phone, on social media, and now by live chat.

We’ve been communicating with community members virtually during this time of social distancing, and we are eager to help you too!

Below are some of the most common requests, and a little information about our new live chat service.

Also, please read our Quarantine Zine for some poetry, words of inspiration, art, and assorted fun activities, courtesy of your library staff.

Top 5 FAQs + Live Chat:

  1. Can I register for a library card so that I can use the library’s online services? Yes you can, fill out a registration form, and please reach out to us if you have any questions about how to register.
  2. How can I download books from the library? Your library offers downloadable and streaming eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, Movies & TV shows, Graphic Novels, and more. A good place to start is our eBooks & Downloads page. Here you will find information about services, apps, and how to get started. Please contact us if you need any help!
  3. I used to be able to download books, but I can’t anymore for some reason,  can you help me? Yes, we can help! Please contact us so that we can check your library account for issues (for example: library accounts expire every 3 years), and we can help you troubleshoot any other issues that may be preventing you from using our downloadable services.
  4. Is it possible to use Ancestry Library Edition from home now? Yes it is! Our vendor (ProQuest) is allowing home access for a limited time. They also are providing free access to HeritageQuest Online! Learn how to access these genealogy resources and more using your library card number and PIN.
  5. Are you hosting any online events now, like storytimes and book discussions? Yes, you can attend virtual programs @ your library. Library staff are busy filming and hosting storytimes, craft projects, STEAM events, book discussions, virtual escape rooms, and more boredom busters! Visit our online events calendar and follow us on social media to learn about upcoming programs.
  6. What is "live chat" and how do I use it? When you visit the library’s website you will now see a tab at the bottom of the screen that says either "Ask a Librarian" or "Email a Librarian". When you click on the "Ask a Librarian" tab between 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Monday - Friday, you will be able to use a live chat box to communicate directly with a library staff member. A library staff member will be able to send text messages back and forth with you, send documents and screenshots, and even share screens if necessary! If you click on the tab outside of these hours, when it says "Email a Librarian", you can send an Email to the library staff at We hope you find this new method of communicating with us helpful, and we look forward to communicating with you via live chat soon.
