From the Concord Room Episode 1: The State House

Get into the spirit of the State House Bicentennial festivities by learning all about the State House with our new video series, “From the Concord Room.” Each episode will take you through the history of a different place or event in Concord history. To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the New Hampshire State House, we’ve decided to focus on this historic building for our first episode. The NH State House opened June 2, 1819 and is the nation’s oldest state house in which the legislature still occupies its original chambers. Visit our YouTube channel to view Episode 1!

The episode, put together by Concord TV with the help of the City of Concord, features historic photographs and documents from CPL’s own archive, the Concord Room. The Concord Room is available for research anytime the library is open. Keep an eye out for upcoming episodes to learn more about the history of our city!
