Commuting doesn't have to be a drag when you have a library card!

Are you tired of listening to the same songs over and over again on the radio? Don't want to spend more money on music, audiobooks, or eBooks? Looking for make the drive or commute go by faster? Your library has what you are looking for! 

5 FREE commuter friendly options (using your library card):

  1. eBooks & eAudiobooks via Overdrive- NHDB: featuring over 20,000 books to choose from, you can download books to your phone, mp3 player, or tablet and then play them through your car stereo (depending upon your vehicle's setup).
  2. Music, Movies & Books via Hoopla: everything in the Hoopla collection is available to borrow immediately (no waiting lists), and items can be downloaded to the app for travel. Hoopla is easy to use and features a wide variety of content.
  3. Digital Magazines: are available though our RB Digital service, with over 60 magazines to choose from. Additional magazines are available through our Overdrive-NHDB service.
  4. CD Audiobooks: featuring the latest fiction bestsellers, popular non-fiction titles, and series like the Great Courses, Pimsleur, etc. Visit our online catalog to search the collection, place holds, and see lists of the latest additions to the collection.
  5. Podcasts: while the library doesn't provide it's own podcast we can recommend many free ones and help you learn how to get started. Some of our favorites include TED Radio Hour, Freakonmics Radio, Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!, and of course the NEW Concord City Podcast.
