  1. Hydrant Flushing

    April 17, 2017, 6:30 AM - May 26, 2017, 3:00 PM

The Highway and Utilities Division of Concord General Services will begin it’s annual hydrant flushing throughout Concord Monday, April 17, 2017. For the next several weeks, there will be three crews going out to scheduled areas to flush hydrants to remove any sediment from water distribution pipes. This process helps maintain Concord’s water quality and also check water pressure. Residents should avoid doing laundry when hydrant flushing is occurring in their area. Concord water consumers may experience low pressure and discoloration during their scheduled flushing time. If discoloration occurs, run your tap water on cold until the water runs clear. Be sure to visit for a new flushing schedule each week indicating the impacted areas.
